University of Missouri - Kansas City Henry W. Bloch School of Management, Department of Entrepreneurship and Management

Job Description

The Henry W. Bloch School of Management at UMKC is seeking a Visiting Scholar that will engage in advanced research, teaching, and collaboration within the Department of Entrepreneurship and Management. This position is designed for scholars who have demonstrated excellence in their field and are looking to contribute to the academic community through innovative research and teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
  • Teach undergraduate courses in entrepreneurship and strategy.
  • Present research findings at departmental seminars and conferences.
  • Publish research in peer-reviewed journals.

This is a 9-month, full-Time, benefit eligible, unranked/non-tenure track academic position. Targeted to start Fall 2025.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

* Phd in Business Administration or Entrepreneurship. Consideration will be given to ABD candidates and to candidates with both a MBA and a MS in Engineering

* Track record of research excellence, including one or more publication in a reputable journal and work in progress

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students

Preferred Qualifications:

* International research experience

* Familiarity with specific methodologies, tools, or technologies relevant to Entrepreneurship and Management.

Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $60,000.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
