Job Summary
Veritex Community Bank is seeking a technically capable and process-oriented Application Analyst to support and enhance automation initiatives within our Business Applications group. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining business process automation using Microsoft Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure DevOps. The position will support integrations across banking systems such as Jack Henry SilverLake, Synapsys, Synergy, and other core and peripheral banking platforms. The ideal candidate will combine experience in low-code automation, system support, workflow design, and financial operations with the ability to deliver reliable and scalable process improvements across departments.

Key Responsibilities

Automation and Workflow Development



  • Analyze business processes to identify automation opportunities, inefficiencies, and areas for integration.
  • Design and build end-to-end workflows using Power Automate, including desktop flows (RPA) and cloud flows.
  • Develop and maintain integration logic using Azure Logic Apps, custom connectors, and REST services.
  • Use Azure DevOps to manage version control, workflow deployment pipelines, and release coordination.


Application Support and Banking Integration



  • Build a working knowledge of supported applications including Jack Henry SilverLake, SL Teller, Synapsys, JHA EWF, ARGO, Synergy, and 4Sight.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application or automation issues in coordination with business units and vendors.
  • Submit and monitor vendor support tickets to resolution.
  • Participate in change control processes including testing and documentation of application patches and workflow updates.


Documentation, Testing, and Training



  • Create and maintain documentation for workflow configurations, integration logic, testing results, and operating procedures.
  • Develop user guides and training content to support internal knowledge transfer.
  • Conduct testing for releases and changes, documenting outcomes for change control requirements.
  • Provide internal training and support for Power Platform adoption across departments.


Project Management and Collaboration



  • Participate in or lead automation and integration projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
  • Translate functional requirements into technical designs and documented workflows.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, application owners, and business users to evaluate opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support ongoing modernization of legacy processes using automation and integration tools.



Required Qualifications



  • Minimum of four years of experience in a financial institution or operations-focused technical role
  • Minimum of two years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate
  • Experience working with or supporting Jack Henry SilverLake or equivalent banking systems
  • Experience with Azure Logic Apps and Azure DevOps in a production or enterprise environment
  • Strong understanding of workflow automation, version control, and software release lifecycle
  • Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow for change tracking and support documentation
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint



Preferred Qualifications



  • Familiarity with REST API integrations, JSON formatting, and connector development
  • Experience with Power Platform tools such as Power Apps and Dataverse
  • Exposure to banking compliance standards including audit documentation and retention
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 integrations and SharePoint automation
  • Experience supporting wire systems, teller platforms, or loan origination tools

  • Comfortable interfacing with technical teams, vendors, and non-technical business stakeholders
