Apply Job Overview The Financial Analyst will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial information and provide reporting to Valley's line of businesses. Will work closely with Financial Manager on budgeting, reporting and analysis and provide recommendations and variance commentary. Expected Work Hours 40 Job Description Responsibilities include but not limited to: Run financial forecasting, reporting and KPI tracking. Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results against budget and ensuring data accuracy. Interpret data and share insights and recommendations with financial manager. Work closely with Accounting department to make appropriate adjustments and accruals. Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends and make recommendations for improvement. Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards. Stay up to date on industry trends and technology tools. Requirements Required Skills: Expertise in Excel and overall MS Office suite and a working knowledge of relevant software applications. VBA and Power BI knowledge and experience. Strong data analysis skills. Understanding of accounting principles. Ability to reason and make sound decisions. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrates strong initiative. Good oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Must be able to develop and maintain existing business relationships across Valley Bank. Good written and verbal communication skills. Required Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or other related field. Minimum of 2 years' experience. Internship in Finance related field may be counted towards experience. Financial Services or Banking experience preferred.
