The Department of Labor and Industry is searching for a Clerical Assistant 2 to provide clerical and office support within the Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. This position is within the UC Board of Review (UCBR) Central Office and will process both first level and second level UC appeals. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position you will have the responsibility to maintain required files, process required paperwork, enter data in a personal computer for cases, and handles all correspondence and mail. Prepares and types UC46A Further Appeal documents, copies documents, updates mainframe, and mails appeals to appropriate parties. You will also maintain files for pending and completed cases, including preparation of files, matching referee decisions and records with board cases, insertion of hearing transcripts and other documents, typing of cover and transmittal sheets and accurate filing and purging of case files. Courteously handles telephone calls and provides appropriate referrals when necessary.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday thru Friday with a 30-minute lunch. (Work hours are negotiable)
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week, upon successful completion of the training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting salary of $35,306 (before taxes). -

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
