Responsibilities

Are you a master of all things maintenance? Do you have a flair for painting and a knack for keeping spaces looking fabulous? We're on the hunt for a Facilities Maintenance Wizard to sprinkle some magic on our buildings and grounds! In this role, you'll be transforming spaces while ensuring everything complies with the rules set by the Department of Health, OSHA, NFPA, Joint Commission, and other regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Work Order Sorcery: Tackle work orders, preventative maintenance tasks, and other assignments from our Facilities Director, Facilities Manager, or Lead Engineer with lightning speed and precision.

Color Mixing Alchemist: Mix and match paints, stains, and finishes like a true artist to create the perfect palette for every project.

Surface Prep Ninja: Get surfaces ready for their makeover by washing, filling holes and cracks with putty, and sanding them to silky smooth perfection.

Painting Prodigy: Apply paint, stain, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers-turning drab into fab!

Primer Protector: Use primers and sealers to ensure your paint sticks like magic.

Supply Keeper: Maintain an organized inventory of supplies, from paintbrushes to tarps, so you're always ready for your next masterpiece.

Finish Remover Extraordinaire: Remove old finishes with scrapers, chemical compounds, or blowtorches-like a true maintenance superhero!

Cost Estimator: Channel your inner accountant and estimate time and material costs for painting projects with accuracy.

Cleaning Crusader: Keep machines, equipment, and work areas sparkling clean using water, solvents, and other cleaning aids.

Order Implementer: Review and execute work orders and assignments like a pro.

Fixture Fixer: Remove and reinstall fixtures (think doorknobs and electrical switch covers) as needed-because every detail matters!

Safety Sentinel: Follow all safety protocols, rules, and regulations to keep our environment safe and sound.

Other Duties as Assigned: Embrace the unexpected and take on additional tasks that come your way!


Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience or completion of painting apprenticeship program required.
  • Knowledge of safety and security procedures.
  • Good color vision and aesthetic instincts.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with painting tools and materials.

Must have the ability to see, hear, and speak, as well as the manual dexterity to use a computer, and the mobility to access the campus which may include stairs, uneven terrain, or long distances. Must possess strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium to heavy physical work, to climb and descend ladders, and to lift up to 50 pounds.

Compensation for this role ranges from $22.82-$28.00 per hour depending on education and experience.
