The NAO will play a key leadership role in overseeing the administration, financial management, and coordination of the research network. Additionally, the NAO will facilitate communication between network members, institution coordinators, and Leducq Foundation staff to ensure seamless collaboration and compliance with grant requirements.

Research & Reporting Compliance (Jennifer and Heather)

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of required progress reports:
    • Initial Term Progress Report (Year 1)
    • Midterm Progress Report (Year 2.5)
    • 4th Year Progress Report
    • Final Progress Report
    • No Cost Extension (NCE) Report, if applicable
  • Ensure adherence to Leducq Foundation reporting guidelines and deadlines.

Financial Oversight & Budget Administration

  • Manage quarterly invoicing and billing charts, ensuring timely submission and accuracy.
  • Collect and review invoices from each network institution, securing required approvals before submission to the Leducq Foundation.
  • Monitor and track budget allocations, expenditures, and carryovers, ensuring financial compliance with grant terms.
  • Assist in budget revisions, particularly at the mid-term review, and facilitate requests for no-cost extensions if needed.
  • Prepare financial reports for mandatory network reviews.
  • Coordinate and gather documentation for financial audits when required.

Compensation

  • All work will be completed outside of and in addition to our full-time roles, either in the evenings/nights or on weekends.
