Your Job

Guardian Glass is looking for an Environmental, Health, and Safety Coordinator/Engineer to join our team at our float glass facility in Richburg, SC.

In this role you will utilize your broad environmental, health and safety knowledge to assist in building sustainable systems. Ideally you will bring a strong environmental background, coupled with EHS manufacturing experience. This position balances Safety and Environmental responsibilities.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure compliance with all issued permits, with a heavy focus on air permit requirements
  • Maintain required records for all environmental media
  • Maintain required records for occupational health programs (ex. Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Respirable Crystalline Silica, Radiation)
  • Maintain required safety programs (ex. Hazardous Energy Control, Hot Work, Hazard Communication, PPE, Confined Space)
  • Aid incident investigations, root cause analysis, determining corrective actions to prevent incident recurrence, and share knowledge across sites to promote a proactive safety learning culture
  • Update existing and develop new EHS training programs
  • Review environmental concerns related to permitting activities for water, air and waste
  • Assist with managing site risks including facilitating and reviewing risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and pre-startup safety reviews
  • Partner with plant employees at all levels to build capability and ensure alignment to company Safety Vision and principles

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience working in a manufacturing/Industrial environment
  • Experience with NPDES and/or Title V permits

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Safety, Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
  • Experience leading and developing EHS initiatives and programs
  • Experience with NPDES permits, Title V permits, LQG Operations, and environmental reporting (TRI, Emissions Inventory, GHG, Biennial Hazardous Waste, Tier II, discharge monitoring reports)
  • Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM)
