The Privacy & Data Protection and Compliance Fellow will assist the Global Privacy and Data Protection Officer to fulfill the company's obligations and address business inquiries regarding the collection and utilization of personal data in accordance with global privacy standards. In this role, the fellow will aid in the development and upkeep of PTC Therapeutics' Privacy program to ensure adherence to national/state/international privacy regulations, assist with risk mitigation, and foster trust with business and customers. As needed, the fellow will engage in cross-functional collaboration with various business units and contribute to priority projects that enhance the company's privacy practices and supporting technologies. From time to time, projects supporting other key-compliance obligations might be assigned for support.

Responsibilities

*Perform DPIA/PIAs and Data Mapping for high-risk data processing activities, including supporting business clients in the process
*Manage and update Intranet page for Privacy and Data Protection
*Update visual aids (presentations/resource materials) as required
*Review/research external resources and prepare weekly update for privacy legal/regulatory highlights globally
*Assist with external Privacy Statements and Privacy Hub build out
*Assist with review of operational business documentation to understand how personal data is used/shared/transferred and assist in the application and documentation of legal requirements associated with the collection, use, transfer, sharing, storing and deletion of the data.
*Own primary triage responsibility for the Privacy mailbox both for consumers and business inquiries.
*Coordinate and support other identified projects that may be in other compliance area.
* Support new vendor onboarding process

Qualifications

*Recent undergraduate (e.g., BA, BS, etc.) or Graduate (e.g., MA, MBA, MS, JD) degree in related fields of study or emphasis in: Privacy/Healthcare/Law/Pharma/Compliance.
*Hybrid- Must be onsite in Warren, NJ up to 25% per month.
*Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as a passion to learn about privacy & data protection and other compliance matters.
*Comfortable with learning and using new computer programs/systems.
*Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
*Superb attention to detail.
*A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
*Excellent time management skills.
