Quality Assurance Associate (Second Shift)

Location: Onsite | Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Training: Preferably on first shift (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM) for ~1 month

Type: Backfill for Leave Coverage (Potential for Extension)

Start Date: ASAP

Interview Preference: Onsite


Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Associate to support QA operations during second shift. This is a contract role with potential to extend based on business needs and team growth. The successful candidate will have experience in a regulated industry and strong knowledge of GDP and GMP.


Key Responsibilities


  • Perform daily QA compliance checks and document findings.



  • Inspect product and labels for visual defects and escalate issues as needed.



  • Review batch records and verify documentation accuracy.



  • Conduct and coordinate environmental monitoring activities and sample collection.



  • Submit samples for chemical and microbial testing.



  • Document and file test reports and quality batch records.



  • Provide real-time feedback to leadership on quality issues.



  • Support internal audits and maintain monthly/quarterly QA reports.



  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.




Qualifications

Education & Experience:




  • Bachelor's degree required.



  • 1-2+ years of relevant QA experience in pharma, biotech, or medical device industries.




Skills & Knowledge:




  • Working knowledge of GMP and GDP.



  • Strong attention to detail is critical.



  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.



  • Experience with data management systems preferred (training provided).



  • Knowledge of quality control procedures, aseptic techniques, and sterility validation a plus.




Certifications:




  • Relevant industry certifications are a plus.




Work Environment & Expectations


  • Onsite second-shift role, Monday-Friday (2:30 PM-11:00 PM).



  • Occasional business travel may be required.



  • Preference for candidates available to train on first shift during onboarding (flexibility allowed).



  • Must be comfortable working in a highly regulated, compliance-focused environment.



  • Expected to interact primarily with supervisors, peers, and cross-functional teams.
