Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our Security business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:
Project Initiation-


  • Review projects assigned and become familiar with the project scope of work.
  • The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will work closely with the Project Manager (PM) and lead technicians to assist in establishing the Project Plan.


Project Execution-


  • Although customer satisfaction is the responsibility of all employees of Pavion, the APMs will lead in this objective.
  • The APM will attend regular job-site meetings. This position will be expected to represent Pavion in a professional manner when speaking to customers.
  • The APM will routinely walk the jobsite to monitor completion, quality of the installation, company policies and methods.
  • At all times the APM will be responsible for safe work practices of technicians while on the jobsite.
  • The APM will train and coach the employees in their daily technical tasks and activities.
  • The APM will ensure vehicles assigned to technicians are kept clean and ladders are always secure.
  • The APM will provide information to the PM as necessary to make monthly pay applications and achieve maximum cash flow.
  • The APM will be required to attend internal company meetings such as safety, departmental, and coordination meetings.
  • The APM will have shared access to the Project Coordinator for clerical tasks.
  • The APM will review the time records to ensure time is accurately collected for each task. The APM will post technicians' time in the UKG system.


Labor and Scheduling-


  • The APM is required to understand the project Scope of work.
  • The APM will be actively involved in the project hand-off to the team.
  • This APM will be responsible for providing a two-week look ahead schedule for project labor requirements. The APM will collaborate with Project Managers and other APMs to provide the two-week schedule.
  • The APM will coordinate with PMs in scheduling technicians to projects. Lead technicians will be assigned to a project for the duration of the project as a norm.
  • The APM will be responsible for scheduling material and equipment delivery to the projects and coordinating deliveries with the Project Coordinator and the warehouse manager.
  • The APM will collect daily job progress reports.


Project Close-Out-


  • The APM will be responsible for the completion of all punch lists.
  • Testing of systems for operation, programming and reviewing equipment. Labeling and system operation will be the responsibility of the lead technicians and will be verified by the APM.


Basic Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two years related experience and/or training in customer service, dispatching or project management or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced customer service skills
  • Computer skills - MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of industry is a plus
