Job Description

The Opportunity:

Visa's North America Fintech team is looking for a high-impact Senior Manager to join in a business development role. This role offers the chance to work at the cutting edge of fintech innovation, driving deep, strategic relationships with high-growth startups in the fintech space. You'll be responsible for accelerating revenue, managing key partnerships, and identifying growth opportunities that align with Visa's long-term strategy. This is a client-facing, high-visibility role with cross-functional exposure across product, legal, marketing, and operations.

What You'll Do:

  • Own and grow a portfolio of fintech partners - deepen relationships, drive revenue growth, and expand Visa's footprint in emerging segments

  • Partner with VCs, accelerators, and various channel partners in the fintech ecosystem

  • Lead strategic sales efforts, including negotiation, structuring, and product adoption across Visa's suite of solutions and value-added services

  • Serve as the voice of the client internally and advocate for product enhancements and innovation

  • Partner with senior stakeholders (internal and external) to develop creative, scalable solutions that unlock new business models

  • Deliver client business reviews, performance analysis, and strategic account plans

  • Stay on top of industry trends, competitor moves, and the evolving regulatory environment to inform your strategy

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or fintech/financial services, MBA from a top-tier school preferred
  • Experience managing complex client relationships and cross-functional initiatives
  • Deep knowledge of payments, finance, or banking-as-a-service is a plus, including topics like AI/agentic commerce, crypto/stablecoin, open banking, trade finance, cross-border money movement, and many more topics.
  • Analytical and structured thinker with a commercial mindset and strong executive presence
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and excited to help shape Visa's role in the fintech ecosystem
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 149,900.00 to 217,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
