Overview

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider to the US Department of Defense and allied nations, is seeking a Inspection Operator II, to join our team.

This position provides technical support to the quality and quality engineering (QE) functions. Additionally the Inspection Operator II conducts quality control (QC) inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process

to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards. The role captures and analyzes statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards. They recommend new or enhanced methods, procedures and standards.

*We are on a 9/80 schedule (9 hour days Monday - Thursday, alternating Fridays off, opposite Fridays 8 hour days). This is a full-time on-site position.



Major Position Responsibilities

    Performs repetitive and routine inspections, checks, tests and sampling procedures of standard parts, units, equipment, or materials
  • Performs inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies or finished company products according to well-defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/or electrical measurements
  • Reworks or rejects subassemblies or finished products as required
  • Performs audits to ensure standards of quality are maintained
  • Documents the results of the inspections and testing
  • Coordinates calibration of test equipment and fixtures
  • Assists with inspection procedures, protocol and checklists

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
    • Vocational/Technical Training Degree Preferred
  • 2 - 4 years experience
  • (or Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience)


Pay Range (USD)

$39,886 - $74,074


Pay Transparency Statement

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process.


Additional Compensation

Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company's Gain Sharing Program.
