Location: Oconee, SC Position Title: Senior RF Engineer (JR101472) Job Description: Design, modify and manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production and release. Serve as the technical lead in multiple hardware developments. Responsible for all phases of RF transceiver and antenna design evaluation including technical analysis of product requirements, recommendation of design alternatives, functional specifications, schematic design, components selection, PCB layout, hardware debug, hardware verification testing, release to manufacturing, and antenna evaluation. Promote the investigation and application of new technologies and industry trends to product management activities and ensure that products shipped meet specifications and quality goals. Responsible for developing new products, supporting existing products, and improving processes, specifically related to RF and communication design. Responsible for RF circuit design from concept to production for a low-cost wireless communications product-line, which includes PA, LNA, RF filters and matching, synthesizers, VCOs, and mixers. Utilize various wireless communication theories to analyze advanced communications including OFDM, DSSS, FHSS, and FSK based modulation schemes. Conduct RF circuit measurements using laboratory equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers to characterize sensitivity, Gain, NF, IP2/IP3, EVM, and phase noise. Verify that designs meet requirements through analysis, simulation, and measurement, and compare results to theory, documenting the results. Carry out field studies and system test activities, provide design and project support in the areas of regulation, reliability, and components selections, and provide technical support to the factory, service, and other internal departments. Job Requirements: Requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience in the electronic/electrical and wireless communication field. Experience must include: Two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
Will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of experience in in the electronic/electrical and wireless communication field in lieu of a Master's degree plus two (2) years of experience.
