Job Description
* Provide daily support, mentoring, and training to new hires and existing staff in the Patient Access department. Assist in managing escalated issues as needed. * Assist in preparing short- and long-term planning recommendations for various registration processes, including admitting, centralized scheduling, emergency department, and clinic operations. * Maintain positive customer service at all times, supporting staff in issue resolution. * Enforce departmental policies, practices, procedures, and work rules in alignment with hospital-wide guidelines. Assist in developing and implementing new policies as needed. * Monitor daily activities and compile performance and metric reports, such as financial clearance reports. Conduct special projects and reporting when assigned. * Perform all Patient Access functions as necessary. * Contribute to the management team's efforts to ensure operational goals are met. Required Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent. * College degree preferred. * Degree in Business, Accounting, Medical Administration, or a related field preferred. * Minimum of four years of experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or a related field. * Five or more years of experience in Patient Access preferred. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $19.03 - $23.79/hr.
