Job Family Maintenance Discipline Site Services Infrastructure Career Level O1 Salary Range $27.66/hour Note for Salary This is the starting salary for this position. This position offers biannual pay increases for employees that are satisfactorily progressing towards qualification, meeting the company's expectations and standards, and adhering to workplace policies. The maximum pay rate is typically achieved at the career level within two to three years. Job Family Description Maintenance/production personnel support the operational success of nuclear and non-nuclear facilities, buildings, systems, and shops. Professionals in these roles are responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of equipment, machinery, and production processes to meet quality, safety, and productivity standards. Discipline Description Professionals in site services infrastructure provide various support functions to manage and maintain the physical facilities and systems that support operations. They provide operations and maintenance for site utility systems (steam, electrical, sanitary wastewater, fire water, domestic water, process water, etc.) roads, bridges, lakes, dams, outfalls, and railways. They perform fire systems operations, maintenance, and testing, and ventilation and HEPA filter testing. They supply and maintain Site Leased Portable Equipment. They perform Crane and Rigging support and oversight of the Site Hoisting and Rigging Program, railroad operations and maintenance, site fleet and fuel management services, transportation services, ground maintenance and herbicide, trucking, and waste removal. Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include: Perform moderately complex rigging operations and scaffold erection. Assists Senior Rigger with complex rigging tasks including critical lifts. With three years' experience in the rigging field, may act as Person in Charge (PIC) of non-critical lifts. Attends classroom, on-the-job, and other types of training as deemed necessary by line management. Required Qualifications * High school diploma, GED, or other equivalent State Credential We'd Also Like to See * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a "Q" Security Clearance. Career Band Operations and Technical Services Career Band Description * Roles in this band perform operational, craft or manual tasks according to established procedures and typically require vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience Career Level Description Entry level, and works in clearly defined methods and tasks under close supervision. Security Clearance Information SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance.
