Job Description

MISSION:

This position is a key member of the compliance team for the San Leandro, CA and Carson City, NV sites. The position will act as the Facility Compliance Officer (FCO) for both sites and work closely with the current FCO and AFCO in each plant. They will establish and maintain robust trade compliance programs that meet export regulatory requirements and support the day-to-day operational needs of the business. They will also serve as a key point of contact for the Division Compliance Manager (DCM).The successful candidate will have the independent authority to inquire into any aspect of a proposed transaction to verify its accuracy and propriety and stop any transaction that is in violation of statutory or regulatory requirements.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Export Control

* Work with Plant FCO to enhance and maintain the sites export compliance program.

* Work with Division Compliance Manager and outside counsel, as required.

* Assist in preparation, review and/or oversight of hardware and technical data export license applications.

* Assist with provision of export training to plant personnel.

* Assist with investigations of compliance issues, as needed.

* Perform ongoing internal transactional audits and assist with annual export audits of the export compliance program.

* Work with the site FCO and AFCO's to obtain and maintain customer supplied End Use Statements and Product Jurisdiction & Classifications.

* Perform ongoing review of customer purchase orders of exported shipments for export license and general compliance analysis.

* Perform ongoing review of export shipment documentation to ensure document accuracy.

* Work with the sites FCO and AFCO's to monitor the export compliance program successes as well as identification of improvement opportunities.

* Requires working with management to perform audits related to compliance with company policy and/or Government regulations.

Qualifications:

* Associate degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or High School with 3+ years' experience.

* Ability to prioritize a heavy work schedule

* Ability to manage and track multiple priorities

* Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft office products

* Must be eligible to work for U.S. government contractors and sub-contractors

* Performs job functions with minimal supervision.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $70000 to $105000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency. The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.
