Job Description: The American Express is looking for a Tournament Intern. This position will be responsible for assisting the Tournament Staff with planning and logistics for staging the event. The ideal candidate for this position must be able to work well in a high-pressure environment, must display strong organizational skills, and must show a high level of oral and written communication. Tournament Services Assist with daily tournament activities as assigned Assist tournament staff with special events and projects as needed Assist with tournament courtesy car program Assist with general administrative work and other Tournament Service-related duties as assigned Providing top-notch customer service to fans and sponsors Compiling reports for ticket sales Assist with operation of ticket office during tournament week Create process for Admissions and Will Call during tournament week Support the Sponsor Benefits team throughout all stages of the sales process Coordinate event registration, implementation, and gifting during tournament week including but not limited to inputting Pro-Am participant information into Sales Force and Golf Genius. Coordination of client ticket and credential fulfillment Work with Sponsor Benefits, Food & Beverage, Operations and Volunteers to ensure all suites are show ready for tournament week Responsible for the physical set-up and tear down of various events (i.e. Moving tables, setting up displays/signage, and moving sponsor products) Coordinate golf cart inventory, delivery and pickup; create intake plan and work with volunteers tournament week to ensure proper allocation of carts Create and utilize a log for each shipment prior to tournament week; assist volunteer committee during tournament week to ensure proper delivery of shipments Qualifications & Experience: Sport Management, Marketing, Management, Comunications majors preferred Eligible to work in the United States; International students must have all visas and employment authorizations Ability to work in a team environment Work collaboratively with other departments such as Sponsor Relations, Sales, Marketing, and Volunteers on other projects as assigned Public relations skills and ability to communicate with staff, volunteers, corporate clients, club members and public Must take initiative, operate proactively and think independently in project management, problem solving, and critical thinking Capacity to work on several projects simultaneously Self-discipline with schedule and time management Organization, attention to detail and follow-through are crucial Must be able to work exceptionally well with others in a close team environment Must be polite, courteous, and treat all guests and associates respectfully Must be able to stay calm during stressful or demanding moments Work extended hours; including nights and weekends leading up to and during the event We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Tentative Employment Dates The Tournament Services internship Dates: December 1st, 2025-January 30th, 2026. December 1st -January 4th : 40 Hours per week* January 5th - January 26th : 60 Hours per week January 27th -January 30th: 20 Hours per week *Evening and Weekends will be necessary as tournament approaches.
