  • Summary:

    As Director, Client Relations for Market Access Healthcare Consulting you will be responsible for generating new business leads and bringing new business through the opportunity lifecycle for the business. You will be part of a dynamic and flexible team that interacts cross-functionally across multiple sales teams and functions within Cencora. You have broader Pharma, Consulting or health care experience, coupled with the ability to understand the key drivers that lead to purchasing decisions, and to position Market Access, Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR) and Consulting appropriately in order to grow our business. You will have experience in Market Access, Real World Evidence (RWE), HEOR, payer marketing, or health economics in order to best understand the needs of our customers.

    As a credible candidate, you are a big picture thinker who understands how to map and test a strategy; and with flexible thinking, you can recalibrate your strategy as you deepen your understanding of the opportunities. This role is cross-functional and requires the individual to have both scientific and business background, the ability to demonstrate strong executive presence skills with pharma and biotech C-suite and key decision makers, and requires understanding the interrelationship between groups and the ability to influence and work across functional boundaries. You will be a self-starter and be able to carve your own path in generating new opportunities and cultivating relationships.

    Responsibilities:

    The Director, Client Relations is responsible for engaging with both external customers to drive revenue growth for our Market Access and Healthcare Consulting team members. This includes the following key duties:

    • Be our external product expert with a strong understanding of our products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive

    • Think strategically on ways to source and craft solutions for prospective clients

    • Maintain current client relationships and develop a strong pipeline of potential clients, contacting potential clients to establish a business relationship and meet with them

    • Lead sales process from lead generation all the way through to a successful close

    • Direct customer engagement in collaboration with Cencora consultants to explore customer needs for our broader offerings

    • Research the latest in the business industry and creating new opportunities to expand business

    • Provide support and customer feedback on our Market Access, HEOR and Consulting offering and current / future needs.

    • Attend trade shows networking opportunities and join networking groups

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred in healthcare or business-related area is minimum educational requirement. MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.

    Work Experience:

    • Minimum of 10 years experience in Healthcare, pharmaceutical, insurance or biotechnology industry;

    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales, business development and/or marketing combined with and/or account management.

    Skills and Knowledge:

    • Preferred experience and background in pharmaceutical market access and Global health care environment, pre-launch product planning, value and evidence generation plan, consulting on product launches, health economics and outcomes research, etc.

    • Proven success in business development role with extensive track record in executing to grow overall revenues and customer/user base

    • Familiar with using information portals (healthcare or other industries) and CRMs (Salesforce, etc...)

    • Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism;

    • Preferable experience in leading sales team in pharma outsourcing industry

    • Self-starter and proactive style of working cross-functionally

    • Creative and articulate with excellent communication and presentation skills with various stakeholders;

    • Computer skills including proficiency in MS Office software which includes: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires completion of a four year bachelor's degree, preferably in business or a relevant medical discipline. Normally requires a minimum of five (5) years related and progressively responsible experience within the healthcare /pharma industry

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Deep knowledge of, and practical experience in specialty products, service delivery, contracting and finances
  • Ability to learn and understand Lash Group's service offering and operations
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, for the purpose of preparing plans, reports and disseminating information
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain cooperative business relationships, internally and externally
  • Strong negotiation skills Strong analytic skills Ability to interpret data specific to specialty products, SPPs and/or Lash Group service levels and identify issues requiring action
  • Ability to interpret industry trends and competitive information and develop strategies and tactics to respond to changes in the marketplace
  • Strong creative thinking skills and ability to convert abstract ideas into actionable plans Working knowledge of computers necessary to operate effectively with company systems and programs
  • Ability to accommodate at least 50% travel.

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
