DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Custodial Worker 1 positions involves sweeping and mopping restroom floors and washing and cleaning all restroom furnishings to include mirrors, toilets, urinals, partitions, walls, sinks, and more. You must ensure that adequate amounts of restroom supplies are available for use and provide replenishment as needed. Burnt-out or blinking light bulbs, plumbing leaks, clogged drains, or any other discrepancies, should be reported to the immediate supervisor. General cleaning and dusting are completed on office furnishings, office equipment, file cabinets, and other items. You will also polish furniture items such as chairs, desks, conference tables, and bookshelves, in addition to various window and glass cleaning. Additional responsibilities include operating pallet jacks and dollies to move furniture and materials from one area to another as well as utilizing a commercial heavy-duty scrub machine (buffer) to clean and buff floors. You will also be required to remove snow and ice from building entrances, exits, sidewalks, driveways, and stairways, and distribute deicing materials where needed. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Essential employee - required to report to work during emergencies and office closings.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
