As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will provide engineering consulting services to a large client base including the educational, institutional, commercial, multi-family, and industrial sectors in Southern New England. Our extensive repeat business from prior customers and diversified clientele allows the firm to maintain a competitive edge in the engineering industry while maintaining financial stability. This position will concentrate on performing electrical design work in MA, RI and CT.

Duties & Responsibilities




  • Study, design, and construction phase for the firm's Electrical plans and specifications.





  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with the end product being delivered on-time and within budget up to CEC and industry standards.





  • Frequent communication with clients and with internal cross-functional engineering teams to fully coordinate the engineering work and contribute efforts in expanding MEP/FP service within the firm - activities may include but are not limited to project assessment, pricing, and writing proposals.





  • Projects may include systems for office buildings, schools, multi-family, commercial and industrial buildings.




Qualifications


  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or any other electrical program is preferred.





  • EIT or PE Registration or ability to obtain over time





  • Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards is preferable





  • Four or more years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within a consulting engineering environment.





  • Experience with AutoCad is required and Revit is a plus. Experience with other CAD programs will be considered in lieu of AutoCad.





  • Verbal and writing skills to be used for client interaction and participation on various topics.





  • Strong capacity to work independently and also with multidisciplinary teams
