Click for a complete list of Employee Benefits. UIC is seeking a Network DevOps Engineer to join our Technology Solutions team. The The Network DevOps Engineer will lead a new effort to select and implement appropriate automation tools to streamline the management and governance of the network. This position jointly reports to the development and network teams to leverage the skills and tools of both teams. As tools are selected and implemented, the automation engineer will work with the rest of the network team to build a training plan so that automation skills are elevated for the entire team and automation becomes central to all network management. The position requires deep technical thinking, and hands-on technical skills to develop and deploy automation solutions. The network is a mix of Cisco, Aruba and Palo Alto and includes ~2000 access switches, 6000 access points, and multiple firewalls across two campuses a short distance from each other.
