Payroll Specialist

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependablePayroll Specialistto join our team. This role is responsible for the preparation, auditing, processing, and disbursement of payroll in a multi-state environment using computerized timekeeping and payroll systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll compliance, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process payroll accurately and on time across multiple states.

• Audit timekeeping records and ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.

• Interpret and apply federal, state, and local payroll laws and guidelines.

• Manage garnishments and ensure timely reporting to appropriate agencies.

• Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding payroll and timekeeping.

• Maintain accurate payroll and timekeeping records.

• Compile and distribute periodic and ad hoc payroll reports.

What You'll Need:

• Associate degree in Accounting or a related field

• 3-4 years experience processing payroll, accounting, or tax experience

• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience with multi-state payroll processing.

• Strong knowledge of payroll systems and relevant regulations.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

What's Available:

• 1.0 FTE

• Location: On-site in La Crosse, WI with ability to shift to remote basis after adequate training.

• Schedule: Monday-Friday Days
