Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Education Abroad unit within the Office of International Programs is responsible for facilitating study abroad experiences for App State students.

The Faculty-Led Program Coordinator works closely with the Assistant Director for Faculty-Led Programs to oversee the daily operations of faculty-led programming, including program proposals from faculty leaders, student study abroad applications, marketing, orientation, safety and liability issues, academic credit, and evaluation. S/he is also responsible for ensuring that faculty-led programming is promoted campus-wide.

Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Providing enrollment and administrative support for faculty-led programs, including assisting in the management of the Via TRM application system, Banner system, and the Chrome River and Yo Mart financial tracking systems;
  • Maintaining spreadsheets and accurate records for faculty-led education abroad;
  • Submitting contracts and payments associated with faculty-led travel;
  • Coordinating the marketing and promotion of the faculty-led portion of Education Abroad, including web design, social media content, and outreach activities for students and faculty alike;
  • Collaborating with the faculty-led programs team to troubleshoot student and faculty issues as they arise;
  • Assisting in program assessment and data collection
  • Other duties as assigned
