About Salesforce

We're Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too - driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good - you've come to the right place.

We're the Analytics Cloud Content Experience team and we're looking for a Lead or Principal Technical Writer to support our vision: deliver exceptional, innovative content experiences that empower people to see, understand, and act on their data through agent-driven insights integrated in the flow of work.

This person will be influential across the Content Experience team and other parts of Technology and Products (T&P). This person will define the strategic direction of our analytics content experiences, grounded in deep product and customer knowledge. The candidate should be comfortable building relationships and influencing senior leaders, and promoting the work of CX beyond the analytics space, and even beyond Salesforce.

What You'll Do

  • Act as a strategic advisor to content creators and a partner to product teams--influencing how content supports broader business, product, and customer goals.

  • Embrace and champion new technologies and formats, and help define the content strategy for new AI-driven content experiences with clear productivity and customer benefits.

  • Work with PMs, UX Designers, Engineers, and Researchers to map out how customers will use the analytics features or products being developed. Define use cases and jobs to be done, and plan content that helps customers along the journey.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • AI-first mindset: Demonstrate a strong curiosity and competence in AI tools and techniques - especially generative AI - along with the ability to simplify complex topics, engage diverse audiences, and increase real-world application.

  • Strategic thinking: Help define the strategic vision for content for analytics products, focusing on today's priorities while building toward the future (might include adoption of new or different types of content or tools).

  • Vocal leadership: Be comfortable asking questions, raising issues, or identifying opportunities for collaboration between teams, and bring together team members and stakeholders to create innovative solutions to problems.

  • Data-driven: Identify improvements to content performance through data analysis, customer feedback, usage trends, process changes, and best practice research. Establish KPIs to track content effectiveness and workflow health.

  • Skilled storytelling: Demonstrate excellent presentation skills and ability to maintain an "executive presence," including when things get challenging.

  • Workplace advocate: Provide mentorship and guidance to other team members to support knowledge sharing and skill development across functions.

Desired Experience/Skills:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in content (technical writing or content strategy)

  • Experience leading complex strategic initiatives involving multiple teams

  • Experience with AI tools used for content creation or management

  • Experience optimizing content for AI-powered consumption and discovery

  • Experience with Tableau or Salesforce products
