Scope:

Working under the general supervision of the Sr. Director of Quality - North America, this position has a broad scope of responsibility for performing complex tasks. The Quality Director, Special Projects and IE is responsible to support quality assurance and Quality Engineering activities throughout the North American organization with a focus on the Integrated Electronics Business Unit and leadership of improvement projects across all NA sites. The position provides leadership and mentoring on structured problem solving teams and proactively promotes and contributes to a culture of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction aligned with company goals and industry best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Grow maturity at all TTM North America sites in the TTM 9CI standardized Continuous Improvement Tool Box to drive performance improvements. The TTM 9CI Elements include: Customer Satisfaction, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, 6S/Visual Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Jidoka/Andon, Zero Defect program, 8D Problem Solving, Quality Alerts, and Design of Experiments
  • Work with sites to develop maturity of a data-driven Zero Defect approach and to execute a reduction in customer quality escapes and complaints, for enhancing product quality and operational efficiency
  • Support 8D Problem solving activities associated with escalated customer issues
  • Work with sites to continuously drive performance Improvement - KPI performance at all sites to Bronze rating or above in NA
  • Support Customer reviews to enhance customer satisfaction and perception
  • Facilitate NA Best Practice Sharing process to grow to an effective sharing process
  • Lead and support additional projects as needed (Customer Spec Review, Engineering Projects, etc.)
  • Support sites with site quality inexperience as required and work with VP Quality to establish clear succession plan and talent development for site Quality Leads
  • Participate and lead internal quality audits as needed
  • Provide training and support to the rest of the organization on the quality system, quality tools (pareto charts, SPC, structured problem solving, etc.) and related topics
  • Comply with and actively support company safety, OSHA, and equal opportunity policies and procedures
  • Must be willing to travel (approximately 25%)
  • Other related duties and assignments as required

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Working knowledge of ISO/AS standards and/or similar quality systems
  • Expertise in Quality and Continuous Improvement Tools
  • Excellent communication internally and externally on quality related issues with a focus on customer satisfaction and ability to mentor others in approach.

Education and Experience:

Advanced Management or Technical Degree Preferred. Career professional with a technical bachelors degree and minimum 5-7 years engineering and leadership experience or 2 year relevant technical degree/certification with minimum 7-10 years progressive technical and engineering leadership experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$134,425 - $236,403

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition ofForeign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
