GENERAL SUMMARY The Workforce Planning and Development Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring our healthcare organization has the right talent, in the right place, at the right time. This position is responsible for analyzing workforce trends, forecasting future talent needs, and developing strategies to attract, retain, and develop a diverse and highly skilled workforce. The Analyst will collaborate with leaders and stakeholders across the organization to understand their talent needs, identify potential gaps, and develop data-driven recommendations to support strategic workforce planning. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Workforce Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of current workforce demographics, skills, and performance data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain workforce forecasts, projecting future talent needs based on strategic plans, anticipated growth, attrition rates, and other relevant factors
- Supply Analysis: Analyze external labor market trends, including talent availability, skill gaps, and competitive landscape, to understand the talent supply.
- Gap Analysis: Identify potential talent gaps by comparing workforce demand forecasts with current and projected supply.
- Action Planning: Collaborate with Regional Workforce Development Consultants and business leaders to develop and implement action plans to execute workforce strategies.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key workforce metrics and performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of workforce plans and identify areas for adjustment.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present regular reports on workforce trends, forecasts, and metrics to leadership and stakeholders. Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and effectively.
- Data and Vendor Management: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of workforce data by maintaining databases and systems.
- Research: Stay informed of current trends and best practices in workforce planning and development, healthcare, and related fields.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Three Plus (3+) years of experience in workforce planning, HR analytics, or a related field..
- Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus. Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, PeopleSoft) is preferred. Experience with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R) is a plus.
- Certification in workforce planning or HR analytics is a plus.
- Must be able to work hybrid.
