As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation site and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. What You'll Do:

    Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Assist with access control and verify identification as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Document incidents and observations in detailed reports as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Must possess a valid (.40 Caliber) Armed Guard Card or License as required by state and/or local regulations.
  • Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Must possess a valid California Armed Security Professional License if working in California.
  • Must have completed firearms acknowledgement and meet all firearms requirements, including possession of a valid sidearm, baton, handcuffs, and pepper spray as required for the post.
  • A valid driver's license in the job state is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal Security will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Must participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
