Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Build off existing and develop new targeted nutrition communication strategies for Fresh Thyme customers that ensures educational messaging is relevant and creates a call to action - helping our customers progress on their individual journeys to living healthier lives

* Create nutrition training resources to be used by the support office and operations teams to deliver consistent, high-quality nutrition communication with customers

* Leverage and select tools, educational techniques and forums to build Fresh Thyme attribute program to create health and wellness platform awareness, recommendations and use of food products and nutritional supplements

* Develop vendor supported communication and engagement programs to be executed through various channels including but not limited to: in-store (e.g., Dietitian Ambassador programming), e-commerce, digital, media and print to build and strengthen customer relationships

* Collaborate with internal creative and external agency resources to create nutrition content for print, e-commerce, digital, media and in-store events/programs, always aligned with our brand promise to help customers with real solutions for healthier lives through Quality, Experience and Community

* Develop and manage process review and approval of all nutrition content and communication resources

* Responsible for partnering with Community Affairs (includes PR agency) on customer-facing brand ambassadorship, media outreach such as Television segments, key communication elements and editorial proposals

* Responsible for ensuring nutrition programs and content support promotional activities and specific program launches set forth by Senior Leadership within the Fresh Thyme Market organization

* Partner with Meijer synergies for regulatory affair requirements to develop supportive language for health claims which will provide differentiation in the marketplace

* Develop clear roles and responsibilities for nutrition initiatives

* Prepare and maintain annual budgets and long-range planning as necessary

Education and Experience

* BS in Nutrition Science, Food Science or related field.

* Must be a Registered Dietitian

* 7-10 years of professional experience that includes nutrition science, wellness, and/or integrative and holistic health

* 3+ years as direct management/leadership in a corporate nutrition role

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Solid understanding of the consumer industry landscape and market trends

* Proven ability to build science-based nutrition communication plans, processes and systems

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while being flexible, collaborative and deadline driven

* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate others toward common goals

* Comfortable and experienced with both live and filmed media/Television segments

* Experience in project management and large-scale program development

* Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills, and a strong aptitude with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email

Work Environment/Physical Demands

* The potential for prolonged standing, walking, squatting and/or bending

* The ability to lift to 50 lbs.

This pay range represents the minimum and maximum base pay for the position, which is determined by factors such as market data, the qualifications required, the level of responsibilities associated with the role and other roles at this same level. Specific pay rates will be within this range and based on your experience, qualifications, and skills compared to the internal team of this role.

Compensation for this position also includes incentive bonus opportunities that may vary based on individual and company performance. Specific details will be discussed during the hiring process.
