Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse Location: Gallipolis, OH, 45631 Shift: 58 Hr -2:00 PM - 11:00 PM Duration:* 6 months Role & Responsibilities: Works under direction of a Registered Nurse, licensed Physician, Dentist, Podiatrist, or Optometrist. Performs skilled practical nursing procedures and treatments (e.g., obtains vital statistics, applies oxygen, applies sterile dressing, inserts catheters; reinserts gastroscopy tubes, suctions, wound treatments, administers enemas, douches, obtains specimens, administers Enteral feedings, administers medications controlled and non-controlled to include oral, rectal, topical, inhalation, subcutaneous and intramuscular) Observes, documents and reports patient conditions and takes appropriate actions, Provides thorough and knowledgeable report of patient needs to RN/Physician. Provides patient teaching. Monitors patients during and as follow-up for procedures. Assists RN and Physician as needed. Responds to Emergencies, provides first aid, performs cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, uses and directs use of AED in emergency. Qualifications: Licensed Practical Nurse License. BLS/CPR Certificate.
