How you'll make an impact:

The Vice President, Business Operations & Strategic Initiatives plays a vital role in the performance of the SiriusXM Media organization and serves as the backbone of our revenue engine, enabling scale, efficiency, and visibility across the customer lifecycle through leadership in three distinct areas of operational support: Revenue Operations, Satellite Enablement, and Strategic Initiatives.

Through thought leadership and enterprise-wide cross-departmental coordination, the Vice President, Business Operations & Strategic Initiatives will ensure that SiriusXM remains a market leader in the advertising space while pushing the entire organization towards continuous improvement and innovative solutions.

What you'll do:

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute revenue plans, forecasts, and territory assignments; create active feedback loop between market signals and sales team priorities

  • Identify bottlenecks and implement scalable workflows across the sales funnel, ensuring consistent execution of innovative solutions

  • Administer and optimize internal CRM (Salesforce), sales enablement tools, and reporting platforms

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting to track KPIs (pipeline, bookings etc) and provide insights for strategic decisions

  • Facilitate alignment between Sales, Sales Marketing, Compensation, Advertising Technology, and Finance to ensure smooth handoffs and consistent data flow

  • Drive rigorous forecasting processes, pipeline hygiene, and funnel analysis to enable predictable revenue performance; partner with Sales Analytics and Finance to publish weekly and monthly updates to the revenue outlook and prepare commentary for external communications

  • Lead implementation of new processes and tools, ensuring adoption and performance impact across teams

  • Partner with Satellite and DTC sales teams to build detailed media plans for 3rd party clients; ensure advertiser campaign needs are matched to proper content/channels to ensure maximized ROI; lead creation of all rate cards and continually maintain rate integrity throughout the year

  • SME for systems and tech stack specific to National OTA Satellite advertising inventory

  • Standardize workflows, playbooks, and tools to drive consistency and scale across the organization

  • Serve as internal strategy consultant for all initiatives tied to the Advertising business & operations - help bring structure to complex, ambiguous, and potentially contentious business issues for SXM executive team

  • Advise senior stakeholders to grow and optimize their businesses by making data-driven, actionable recommendations that help them achieve their long-term strategic priorities

  • Determine organizational success metrics/key performance indicators (KPIs), track business performance and provide insights and recommendations to advise leadership against future business opportunities and day-to-day operations

  • Support ideation and development of growth opportunities through strategic investments or acquisitions, BD partnerships, and an assessment of SiriusXM's position in the competitive landscape from the lens of ad technology, data, and media

What you'll need:

  • 15+ years of experience in Revenue Operations / Sales Operations or related roles in the B2B space

  • Deep knowledge of sales processes, CRM systems (especially Salesforce), and revenue tech stacks

  • Superior communication and presentation skills; ability to translate complex business problems / solutions to an executive audience; demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders at all levels

  • Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in MS Excel and BI tools (eg Tableau); experience with SQL and/or other large data tools preferred

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage through multiple competing priorities

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate resources in a matrix-style environment

  • Detailed understanding of the entertainment / media landscape

  • Must have legal right to work in the US

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $197,000 to $305,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
