Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in San Antonio, TX. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The Measurement Specialist is responsible for routine technical tests and inspections on personal protective equipment (PPE) used for the protection of personnel from electric shock.
  • All tests are needed to meet both ASTM and NAIL Standards.
  • Computer work, including the use of MS Office and SAP, is also involved daily.
  • The PPE Test lab and all lab personnel shall be necessary to meet, adhere to, and maintain all NAIL eligibility and criteria with needed recertification.
  • Diagnostic Testing, analyzing, troubleshooting, and accepting Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Count, handle, pre-inspect, clean, sort product, test, package, and ship PPE rubber goods to storerooms on a rotational basis.
  • All PPE is exchanged on a 90-day basis for all users with the exception of Line Hoses and Blankets which is exchanged annually.
  • Visual inspection of all PPE for defects.
  • Ordering of replacement PPE as needed.
  • Communicating and interacting with various client areas for the coordination of PPE exchanges.
  • SAP input of transfers and receipt of PPE.
  • Documentation of all analyses of PPE, tracking of PPE failures and stock limits.
  • Create physical inventory count documents in SAP.
  • Train, supervise, and support other employees (New employee, light duty, interns)
  • Maintenance of dielectric test fluid in test machines for insulating sleeve testing.

Hours: 40 hrs/week

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with MS word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in computer Literacy.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a lab, as a quality inspector or warehouse experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and oral.
