Our Client is an established EF&I Telecommunications equipment installation vendor, their customers are carriers like AT&T and Brightspeed. They are looking for an experienced Equipment Installation Detail Engineer. This engineer will be responsible for performing all duties related to engineering the layout of various equipment installations at their customer CO and POP Locations. Determining materials, location of equipment and how this equipment will fit in to existing infrastructure. They would like a candidate with experience performing similar duties with other EF&T Vendors and Carriers.
*Key Responsibilities:* Design and Development: Creating and modifying telecommunications equipment, including hardware and software components. Testing and Evaluation: Ensuring the functionality, performance, and reliability of equipment through rigorous testing procedures. Integration: Working with other engineers to integrate new equipment into existing network systems. Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues with telecommunications equipment and networks. Documentation: Creating and maintaining detailed documentation for equipment specifications, installation procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Staying Current: Keeping up with the latest technologies and industry standards in telecommunications. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of networking principles, telecommunications protocols (like SIP and VoIP), and hardware components. Problem-solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze network performance data and identify areas for improvement. Communication Skills: Effective communication skills are essential for collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders. Typical Work Environment: Telecom equipment engineers may work in various settings, including Telecommunications companies, Equipment manufacturers, Research and development labs, and Consulting firms.
