Structural Fitter

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

Shift: 2nd | 6:00 PM - 5:30 AM

As a Structural Fitter, you'll be responsible for assembling steel structures using precise blueprints and advanced fabrication methods. You'll work with materials like angle iron, I-beams, and steel plates to produce high-quality frameworks that meet rigorous industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints and layout drawings to determine fitting procedures.
• Position, align, and secure structural components before welding.
• Cut, bevel, and grind metal plates with precision tools.
• Measure components accurately using calipers and other instruments.
• Tack, burn, and weld as needed.
• Operate overhead cranes and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of structural fitting experience.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and advanced fitting techniques.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working in a shop setting with exposure to welding fumes, noise, and debris.
• Able to stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 45 lbs throughout your shift.
• Strong verbal communication and safety awareness.
