Overview: Our client is seeking a Technician to support network infrastructure by performing closet-based work. The ideal candidate will be responsible for connecting panel switches and installing patch cables in telecommunications closets and network rooms. Key Responsibilities: * Install and connect panel switches according to network design specifications. * Route, label, and install patch cables to ensure clean and efficient closet setups. * Perform cable management and ensure compliance with industry standards. * Test and verify connectivity and performance of installed components. * Collaborate with IT teams and follow detailed work orders or diagrams. * Maintain accurate documentation of work performed. Qualifications: * Proven experience in network cabling, patch panel installation, or related field. * Familiarity with structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA). * Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and floor plans. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Comfortable working in confined spaces such as network closets. * (Optional: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, BICSI, etc.) Work Environment: * Primarily on-site in telecommunications or network closets. * May require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
