Eckerd Connects' E-Nini-Hassee outdoor therapeutic school for girls in Floral City, Florida, is a residential facility that provides academic and behavioral treatment through a combination of fully accredited education, therapeutic outdoor adventures, primarily group counseling and individual counseling, as needed. Youth live in rural, outdoor settings in small groups of 10-12 with well trained and caring counselors.

Salary: $115,000

Position Concept

Position is responsible to develop and implement strategies that generate referrals, increase admissions into programs, and maintain client census at budgeted levels while strategically aligning new community based and residential programming within assigned area. Incumbent will establish, maintain, and market positive relationships across numerous industries and agencies, while projecting Eckerd as a provider of choice for youth.

Essential Functions

  • Establish, build, and maintain relationships with possible referring agencies, organizations or individuals. Identify prospective customers, successfully converting them to active customers.
  • Develop and implement a marketing plan based on specific research and analysis of the market area and that achieves admissions/referral goals within Eckerd's overall business development strategy and budget.
  • Continually research and analyze market trends to ensure the long-term viability of the private academies and other Eckerd program initiatives.
  • Develop strategies to ensure a consistent flow of admissions into the private academies and other Eckerd programs.
  • Serve as a strategic partner with operations leadership to ensure the growth and development of the private academies as well as ensure its integration into Eckerd's long-term growth strategy.
  • Represent Eckerd's private academies at national, regional, and local conferences aimed at promoting the company and broadening the private academy referral base.
  • Partner with Admissions and Operations staff to ensure coordination of critical support services and functions aimed at maximizing client recruitment and placement efforts.
  • Implement activities to generate youth referrals to Eckerd programs and maintain excellent corporate and customer relations with all current and prospective customers.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with programs and Admissions.
  • Ensure complete market coverage and maintain accurate database and call documentation to produce timely reporting.
  • Collect information for use in defining and refining programs, identifying opportunities or problems; and serve a conduit for communication between the program and the customers as needed.
  • Represent Eckerd positively and professionally externally, both in marketing and client relations events and activities.
  • Continually examine and research funding streams that will enable Eckerd programs long term viability.

Position Specifications

Education: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Marketing, Business, or social services/healthcare related field.

Experience: Five years of experience in a related field, demonstrating skill and effectiveness in generating referrals from professionals. Extensive prior experience may substitute for degree.

Skills: Demonstrated strong customer-focus, marketing skill, and ability to exercise independent judgment. Ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision; to exercise initiative, judgment, decision-making, and flexibility. Able to make decisions on procedural and technical levels. Must be self-motivated and organized, and have excellent people skills, strong presentation and persuasion skills, and verbal and written communication skills; Drive for results; Ability to negotiate and influence decision makers; Computer literate with basic word processing and database skills.

Travel: Travel up to 50%.

Other: Must have appropriate and valid state driver's license and be able to meet requirements for Eckerd's Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes. Must successfully pass a background screening process, including, but not limited to, state, local, and funder criminal background check requirements. Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.

Physical Demands: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to communicate via telephone; Ability to travel regularly to accomplish goals; Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds regularly; Must be free of communicable diseases as defined by state and to the extent that knowledge is attainable under the law.

About our Program

Camp E-Nini-Hassee was founded in 1969 by Jack and Ruth Eckerd as the first outdoor therapeutic program for girls at-risk in the southeast. We provide a positive, strength-based environment for girls ages 12-18 to experience nurturing guidance.

We present a reality-therapy approach in a residential, outdoor therapeutic environment, using alliances with staff and group therapy to provide safety, adventure, and education. Each girl receives individualized treatment and is supported with family services. We provide an accredited education on site with certified teachers and transferable credits.

We help girls considered at-risk who are struggling with school, causing family conflicts, experimenting with drugs, experiencing depression, have low self-esteem, or are exhibiting emotional problems and behavioral issues.
