We are looking for a solid, ambitious, and very dynamic Medical Device Asset Management specialist who can be inserted into different situations within the team and be a solid driver of change and innovation through process efficiency, reengineering, and automation.

The Sr Bus Systems Analyst will be responsible for the daily and long-term strategic management of Medical Devices within the organization. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording Medical Device assets to ensure compliance. Developing and implementing procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles. Managing and monitoring the asset management system to ensure Medical Device asset data is captured, recorded, and updated in a timely manner. Assisting with the development and implementation of processes and procedures that are consistent with industry best practices for tracking assets through the asset lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Strategize long term Medical Device lifecycle processes for improvement and increased effectiveness on controls and quality from purchase through disposal
  • Develop innovative solutions by assisting in the engineering of complex process and strive for automation, simplification, and scalability
  • Utilize solid analytical skills and demonstrate innovative thinking and creative solutions with attention to detail in developing and documenting processes and automation, and solutions
  • Provide KPI/Metric information and standardized reporting on a scheduled basis together with unscheduled reporting demanded by management
  • Design processes relating to medical device asset management, execute and enhance them
  • Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to determine trends in asset performance
  • Perform research on industry best practice and incorporate it with organizational practices
  • Partner with senior leaders across departments to establish and maintain ITAM corporate policy, and creates, communicates, and maintains guidelines for policy exceptions
  • Work with asset owners to ensure proper chain of custody processes, controls, and data management from purchase through disposal.
  • Analyze existing operations and make recommendations for improvement and growth.
  • Work to develop a master asset management plan specifically attuned for all devices. Assess and manage risks associated with current assets
  • Contribute to, and deliver on large size Medical Device asset management, general enterprise process enhancements, etc. May lead functional or segment teams or projects

Required Qualifications:



  • 7+ years direct experience in Medical Device Asset management
  • Experience with Medical Device Audit or Compliance, Sourcing & Procurement, and Technology
  • Business Process Management experience in the area of Medical Device Process efficiency, automation, and re-engineering
  • Understanding of the medical device lifecycle and general Asset Management tools, functions, charters
  • Understanding of medical device hardware asset management policies, procedures and best practices
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT or related field
  • Proven ability and experience in executing strategic asset management processes successfully
  • Understanding of contractual language, terms & conditions
  • Knowledge of medical device asset disposition practices
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management processes, as well as experience with Discovery tool
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks independently with little supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Advanced analytics, data management and reporting skills
  • Proven solid vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills and superior attention to detail
  • Proven solid documentation skills

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
