Job Type: Officer of Administration Bargaining Unit: Regular/Temporary: Regular End Date if Temporary: Hours Per Week: 35 Standard Work Schedule: Building: Salary Range: $115,000 to $145,000 The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary The work will include pharmacological assessment and treatment along with evidence-based psychotherapy for post-transplant patients. The transplant psychiatry NP will work alongside transplant psychiatrists, physicians, physician assistants and social workers in a liaison-role. We work as a vibrant team, where professional peer support and supervision is also a priority. To work in solid organ transplant as part of the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry division, located within New York Presbyterian Hospital at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center. The work will include pharmacological assessment and treatment along with evidence-based psychotherapy for post-transplant patients. Responsibilities Will provide diagnostic psychiatric evaluations. Provide psychopharmacologic and short-term psychotherapeutic treatments for a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and comprehensive patient care. Counsel and instruct patients and their families. Ensure accurate and up-to-date electronic health records for all patient encounters in a timely manner. Perform all duties and functions in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus two years of experience. Preferred Qualifications Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team with strong interpersonal and communication skills. The setting requires flexibility, consultative skills, and active collaboration with other providers and team members. Other Requirements Must successfully complete all online systems training requirements. Current New York State RN and NP License. National Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), plus a minimum of two (2) years' experience in an outpatient setting. DEA license.
