Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy & Execution

- Develop and implement short-term and long-range marketing plans across print, digital, and other media channels.
- Conduct competitive analysis, consumer research, and digital campaign planning to support product and service growth.
- Design and manage market research programs to identify customer needs and inform strategic decisions.
- Recommend product or service modifications based on research insights and field feedback.
- Conduct financial modeling and statistical analysis to estimate market potential and support marketing decisions.
- Create and manage marketing tools and databases to streamline campaign execution and performance tracking.
- Oversee advertising creation, media placement, and cost evaluation; liaise with external agencies to ensure alignment with corporate goals.

Physician Liaison & Practice Growth

- Collaborate with operational leaders, physicians, and practice staff to assess business needs and execute sales strategies aligned with oncology practice goals.
- Establish and maintain ongoing communication with referring physicians and their teams through visits, calls, and emails.
- Develop and implement growth strategies in core markets, partnering with Practice Marketing to tailor selling approaches.
- Use CRM tools, market trends, and performance data to build sales plans and monitor practice growth.
- Represent the practice at tumor boards, community events, trade shows, and cross-business initiatives.
- Mentor and train junior oncology liaisons as needed.

Communication and Compliance

- Assist in developing physician communications and public relations programs across the organization.
- Coordinate internal communications to ensure staff alignment and provide guidance as needed.
- Adhere to administrative duties including travel expense management, timely reporting, and use of tools like Salesforce and Business Objects.
- Uphold compliance with the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

- 4-year undergraduate degree required, preferably with an emphasis in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, or Healthcare. MBA preferred but not required.
- BS/BA in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related degree (MBA desirable).
- Minimum 5-7 years healthcare sales experience, preferably calling on physician accounts.
- 3+ years related work experience.
- Prior marketing experience in a Health Care setting helpful.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills

- Proven record of success in sales, preferably healthcare.
- Highly collaborative individual capable of performing in a matrixed environment.
- Expert understanding of consultative sales, call cycles, and territory planning.
- Fact-based decision maker with strong emphasis on data, trends, and market analytics.
- Proficient with CRM and business intelligence reporting, preferably Salesforce and Business Objects.
- Strategic thinker and financially oriented individual who understands how to drive profitable growth.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; Ability to work with a wide range of individuals, particularly physicians.
- Expert in conflict management and resolution skills, handling customer complaints and objections.
- Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills; Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Power Point).

The employee is required to be present within the assigned territory/region during regularly scheduled business hours. Work will involve in-person interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients. Work may require travel by automobile, approximately 70% of work week. Sales positions require regularly working outside the office in order to call on clients and build relationships.
