Summary of Position

The Solutions Engineer I will analyze large clinical informatics and bioinformatics data sets, and will collaborate with senior engineers in the build of multiple enterprise-level solutions that connect every aspect of the lab from clinical services to data research. The Solutions Engineer I must be interested in learning genetics, bioinformatics, workflow, and system design. Core technology stack includes, but is not limited to, SQL, Node, JQuery, Java, Scala, Python, and R.

Knowledge/Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

• 
  

  Education - BA/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Bioinformatics or equivalent is required.

  
  
• 
  

  0 - 3 years of previous experience in software development, software design, or equivalent merit.

  
  
• 
  

  Exceptional ability and interest in learning additional domains including genetics, bioinformatics, workflow, and system design is required.

  
  
• 
  

  Strong understanding of computer science and mathematical concepts.

  
  
• 
  

  Ability to evaluate operational, analytical, and technical aspects.

  
  
• 
  

  Creative thinking, technical knowledge, and intelligent analysis.

  Ability to design, develop, and deploy software and non-software solutions to existing systems.

  Strong communication skills and ability to work well in teams.
