HR & Talent Acquisition Specialist

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR & Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our dynamic Human Resources team. This role is ideal for someone who takes initiative, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about supporting employees and driving HR initiatives that enhance workplace culture and operational efficiency. The position also provides general administrative support to the HR team and upholds the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

The general pay scale for this position at WVCI is $65,000-$73,000. The actual hiring rate is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, education, job/position responsibilities, location, work performance, etc.

Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition (50%)

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment across departments.
  • Partner with hiring managers on job descriptions, sourcing strategies, and interview processes.
  • Manage job postings, candidate pipelines, and applicant tracking systems.
  • Conduct screenings, coordinate interviews, and support offer negotiations.
  • Maintain recruitment presence on social media and promote employer branding.
  • Coordinate pre-hire tasks, onboarding activities including but not limited to, pre-hire preparation and orientation.
  • Compiles interview notes and resources.
  • Build relationships with schools and attend career fairs.
  • Misc other duties as assigned.

HR Support & Operations (50%)

  • Provide day-to-day support on HR-related inquiries and requests.
  • Support HR team with personnel management in the HRIS system.
  • Serve as a point of contact for policy-related questions.
  • Manage onboarding and support offboarding processes.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve employee experience and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and generate reports as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Misc. other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Basic knowledge of recruiting practices and employment laws preferred.
  • 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in recruitment or generalist roles.
