Position Summary
North Carolina DHHS Division of State Operated Health Care Facilities ( DSOHF) has contracted with the Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities ( CIDD) to create a questionnaire to be used in the State Developmental Centers ( SDC) where approximately 700 residents with intellectual/developmental disabilities are currently living. The purpose of the questionnaire is to determine if the identified residents have an interest in community living. The questionnaires of the persons with disabilities will be completed in person at the SDCs, starting in September 2025. For in-person interview, interviewers must provide their own transportation to the SDCs. Interview/questionnaires that are conducted with legally responsible persons ( LRP) such as family and guardians will be conducted via UNCs HIPAA protected Zoom, individual homes, workplaces, or public facilities. The location and date/time of the interview will be determined by the consumer or responsible party, and may include evenings or weekends. The interviewer will be expected to independently conduct the standardized questionnaire using tablet and laptop computers provided by CIDD to record consumer responses and complete all required documentation according to the established protocol. Interviewers are especially needed in areas near and around where the three SDCs are located: Butner (Murdoch Developmental Center), Kingston (Caswell Developmental Center) and Morganton (J Iverson Riddle).
