Essential Job Duties |
This is an internal posting for current NC State permanent and temporary employees, and candidates with RIF priority.
The
Accounting Technician will support the financial operations of NC State Athletics, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent service. In this role, you will:
- Audit, review, and process invoices in PeopleSoft Financials
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions in line with university and state guidelines
- Monitor monthly spending, with a focus on travel expenses for assigned sports
- Advise coaches and staff on budget and purchasing procedures
- Serve as the primary business service liaison for assigned teams, delivering exceptional customer service
We're looking for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who can balance accuracy with efficiency and enjoys building strong working relationships across the department. |
Other Responsibilities |
Additional duties as assigned. Serve as backup to other staff in the Business Office. |
Qualifications
Minimum Experience/Education |
High School Diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in accounting work; or equivalent combination of training and experience. |
Other Required Qualifications |
Relevant financial experience working with accounts payable and purchasing; or equivalent combination of training and experience. |
Preferred Qualifications |
- PeopleSoft Financials experience.
- Experience with purchasing, accounts payable and travel specific to adhering to NCAA and ACC rules and regulations.
