Maintenance Technician

Staffmark is hiring a skilled Maintenance Technician in Dallas, TX to support day-to-day operations in a dynamic warehouse environment. This is a hands-on direct hire role ideal for someone with strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills, looking to grow within a reputable facility.

Pay:

$26.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule:

Facility hours: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Candidates must be flexible to work any 8-hour shift within this time frame.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair electrical components, including circuit boards, switches, relays, and motors
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on warehouse machinery and equipment
• Replace worn or defective parts and maintain organized, safe shop areas
• Supervise mechanical and HVAC contractors on-site
• Assist external contractors and ensure work is completed to standards
• Conduct electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic repairs as needed
• Recommend and implement preventive maintenance measures to reduce downtime
• Fabricate and install shelving, brackets, stands, and small structures on-site
• Handle overhead repairs (e.g., replacing switches and shoes)
• Keep maintenance areas well-stocked and supplies organized

Requirements & Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or warehouse setting
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
• Skilled in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues quickly and effectively
• Welding and fabrication experience required
• Familiarity with shop tools and equipment
• Ability to work in tight spaces, at heights, and in extreme temperatures
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Must be proactive in maintaining stock of parts and consumables
