Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day processes/procedures of group benefits programs and wellness programs/initiatives. You will assist in employee benefits plans and provide analytical and technical support in the delivery of the benefit programs. Further, you will provide technical support and execution of custom data entry, analysis, reports, and business requirements surrounding Human Resources and related Payroll systems data needs. Your Responsibilities will Include:
Oversee and manage aspects of the employee benefits program, including health and dental insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other ancillary benefits.
- Ensure that the organization's benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and other relevant laws.
- Configure the Benefit Admin System (PlanSource) based on plan update, pull reports, and complete audits to ensure the system is working correctly.
- Collaborate with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, our benefit broker and benefit plan providers to resolve issues, and ensure efficient program administration.
- Plan and execute the annual benefits open enrollment process, including coordinating employee communication and education efforts.
- Develop and distribute benefits-related communication materials and conduct new hire orientation.
- Analyze benefits utilization data to identify trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for program improvement.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to team members regarding benefit plan options, changes, and eligibility.
- Handle team member benefit inquiries and assist with issue resolution.
- Develop and update benefits policies and procedures, ensuring they align with best practices and organizational needs.
- Manage leave requests related to short-term and long-term disabilities. Communicate leave approvals, denials, and any necessary documentation requirements to team members and supervisors.
- Handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, life event changes and coordinate benefits processing to include updating data as needed in all systems.
- Promote wellness activities and initiatives to encourage team member participation and engagement.
- Plan and coordinate wellness events, challenges, and activities, such as fitness challenges, health screenings, and wellness fairs.
- Review and reconcile invoices from benefit plan providers, including health insurance companies, retirement plan administrators, and other benefit vendors.
- Travel as required.
- Other duties which may be assigned as needed.
Education & Years of Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field and minimum 5- year benefits experience.

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
