We are seeking a Java Developer with strong expertise in Java 21 and Spring Boot to support the modernization and migration of
custom financial processes to a cloud-based system. This role is part of a strategic initiative to build scalable, microservice-based applications that interface with core financial systems and other downstream platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern Java frameworks, containerization, and API integration, and be comfortable working in a collaborative, agile environment. This is a remote opportunity but must be able to work Hawaii time zone. If you are interested, please apply and one of the recruiter will reach out to you! *Responsibilities:* * Develop and maintain Spring Boot microservices using Java 21, integrating with APIs and a replicated AWS-hosted database. * Implement and re-implement custom financial processes as part of a cloud migration effort. * Facilitate data exchange and integration with downstream systems that rely on financial system outputs. * Debug and resolve issues during the migration and implementation phases. * Analyze system requirements, define data mappings, and design interface specifications. * Collaborate with subject matter experts, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient solution delivery. * Participate in system testing, performance tuning, and post-implementation support. * Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to tools and processes. *Qualifications Required:* * Strong hands-on experience with Java 21 and Spring Boot. * Proficiency in MySQL, Hibernate, and Maven. * Experience with Podman Compose or similar containerization tools. * Familiarity with Spring Cloud Config Server, Spring Cloud Gateway, and Eureka Server. * Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservice architecture. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment. * Strong problem-solving and communication skills. *Preferred:* * Experience with enterprise financial platforms or systems integration. * Knowledge of AWS services and cloud deployment practices. * Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, AngularJS), ETL tools (e.g., AWS Glue), and testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit). * Understanding of accessibility and usability standards for web applications. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
