Strategic Planning Manager (Research)

Position Summary

The position is responsible for leading strategic initiatives, strategy deployments, partnership formation, project management, and other key initiatives of the Wexner Medical Centers research and discovery mission area. This role serves as an internal consultant for C-suite executives, Deans, Vice Deans, Department Chairs, Center/Institute/Program Directors and other executive senior and faculty leaders, to assist with research and innovation program planning, environmental trend analyses, and development of research programs vision, strategic goals, and program priorities.

  • Ability to create data visualizations for senior leaders that effectively communicate complex topics and drive decision making

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business management, health administration, marketing, public administration or equivalent course of study.
  • Two years of experience in strategy, business planning, business development, general management or operations
  • Firm understanding of the healthcare industry, with a focus on academic healthcare
  • Ability to conduct secondary research through the web and/or utilizing other resources.
  • Advanced experience utilizing Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Robust analytical skills with a strong knowledge of data visualization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree business management, health administration, science, marketing, public administration or equivalent course of study.
  • Experience in the conduct or operations of biomedical or health sciences research in an academic medical center, industry or agency setting
  • Firm understanding of the healthcare industry, with a focus on academic healthcare
