Click for a complete list of Employee Benefits. The Human Resource Associate II supervises and oversees management of faculty, student, and employee services and needs. They develop, implement, and maintain policies in the areas of HR, academic research, administrative operations, and student affairs. The HRA II manages all day-to-day departmental administration of HR related matters and functions as well as develops and maintains the instructional budget. The HRA II acts as liaison with all internal and external academic and HR units; and supports the unit head with administrative matters. Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for departmental HR functions including employee relations, transactional processes involving new hires, terminations, transfers, compensation and salary administration. Participates in staff training and development. Responsible for the data entry and maintenance of related HR and departmental systems and files. Serves as a consultant on HR related matters to all personnel within the department, providing guidance and/or resolution for related matters. Develops and maintains instructional budget, including tracking special academic administrative appointments. Enters information for Soft Money App. Organizes and prepares Promotion and Tenure cases for tenure track and non-tenure track faculty. Develops, maintains and implements related departmental policies and procedures to support the department and the college. Assists the Head in creating and updating departmental documents. Handles student and faculty questions and requests. Brings to the attention of the Department Head or Associate Head matters requiring their attention. Supports Department Head in everyday matters including scheduling, correspondence. Supervises department staff. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Administration, Management, Organizational Administration, Public Administration, Labor Relations, Business Administration or a field closely related to the position. Five years of work experience performing professional-level human resources duties.
