The Role:

Manage day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services (EVS) department, ensuring a clean and save environment for guests and team members

Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for supervising staff and the overall daily management of the EVS department. Supports, administers and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Create effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the budget process for the department and provide recommendations; ensuring compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to manager.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
  • Ensures the day-to-day cleaning of the property, interior and external, is performed to established standards; ensuring deep cleaning activities are performed with minimal impact to operations.
  • Responsible for ensuring OSHA standards are followed, to include proper use of all equipment and chemicals
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
  • Develop and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program on all equipment.
  • Maintains a safety program to ensure all Team Members have a safe work environment.
  • Manages/Controls/Orders all supplies and inventory in the department. Frequently update yourself on new products and materials for continuous operational improvement.
  • Conducts the approved departmental training program to ensure all Team Members are properly trained to their assigned task.
  • Adheres to, interpret, support, and explain established company policies and procedures as well as applicable local, state, federal and other regulatory procedures.
  • Develops implements, maintains, and monitors an effective team member relations program through effective communication.
  • Fosters and maintains positive team member relations in a supportive environment and interfaces with other departments to ensure a harmonious working relationship.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, assess and review the job performance of subordinates including both non- exempt and exempt team members.
  • Maintains a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image standards of self and subordinates.
  • Completes necessary reports in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
  • All other duties as assigned


Qualifications:



  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum four years supervisory experience in EVS or related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
  • Knowledge and experience of cleaning products and/or equipment necessary to successfully perform job.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at one time
  • Bilingual a plus
