The Applications Consultant - Radiology will work directly with customers during the implementation to understand the business operations of the clinical departments. Understanding department operations will enable the AC to provide guidance and best practice procedures that will maximize the customer's benefit from Agfa technologies.

As an Applications Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact imaging IT solutions to healthcare organizations. This hybrid position combines clinical software configuration with customer-facing training and workflow optimization, ensuring successful deployment and adoption of enterprise imaging systems.

You will collaborate with imaging departments, IT teams, and vendor partners to tailor solutions that meet clinical and operational needs. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between technology and clinical practice, empowering users to maximize the value of their imaging platforms.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Maintain proficiency in AI-enhanced imaging tools and train clients on leveraging advanced features for clinical decision support.
  • Application Consultant Radiology is part of an Implementation Project Team. S/he works with the team to plan, deploy, test and execute all tasks of a plan.
  • Provide consultive services to hospital/departments management with leading configuration of enterprise imaging software applications, including PACS, AI, Workflow Orchestra and other value added add-ons.
  • Conduct classroom, onsite and remote training sessions for radiologists, technologists, and administrative staff.
  • Provide consultative services to hospital/department management to assist with the implementation of Enterprise Imaging.
  • Determine application optimization within the department and provide customer with best practice methodologies.
  • Perform policy and procedure development and review.
  • Conduct workflow reviews (including system workflow and department process workflow).
  • Maintain documentation covering each departmental implementation with configuration decisions, training outcomes, and workflow assessment.
  • Conduct Pre-Live & Post Live Assessments.
  • Be a strategic partner to clients, identifying opportunities for workflow enhancement, cost reduction, and improved patient outcomes.
  • Generate new Professional Service opportunities using clinical experience and project-related activities to identify new opportunities and contribute to the Professional Services portfolio.
  • Develop internal process documentation related to the integration of Agfa's Solution to improve project and product delivery, shorten lead times for installations, and reduce service support overhead.
  • Provide product input to Product Marketing and Product Development (R&D) groups using information from previous and current installations. Provide written direction to these groups regarding product functionality that will improve the implementation process.



Education:




  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences, Health Informatics, or related field preferred.
  • ARRT certification (RT(R), CT, MR) or equivalent clinical credentials.
  • 5+ years of experience in radiology operations or imaging IT.
  • Strong understanding of radiology workflows and imaging modalities.
  • Experience with enterprise imaging platforms (Agfa, Sectra, GE, Philips, etc.) preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.



Experience:




  • Radiology: 7+ years of experience in a Clinical Healthcare Specialty, Specifically Radiology with demonstrated leadership skills. Work experience in Academic hospital setting strongly preferred. Healthcare IT vendor experience on an Implementation team a plus.
  • 5 years IT admin experience ideal.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Be able to consult with prospective clients on Enterprise Imaging and value proposition.
  • Leadership skills being able to mentor team members, guide project teams, and inspire confidence in both employees and customers.
  • In-depth knowledge of Enterprise Imaging with back-end clinical configuration and front-end workflow design.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex application and/or technical concepts effectively.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful large enterprise projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of multi-service lines design and build as an enterprise solution.
  • Classroom and/or end-user trainer.



Specific Skills:




  • Strong clinical experience in Clinical IT; Radiology specialty, with continuing exposure to clinical trends/developments through continuing education programs. Depth of clinical experience will serve as the backbone for the position's responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong Communications Skills; oral presentation and written documentation
  • Ability to understand information technology terms and read technical documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities
  • Professional and able to work with all aspects of the organization, sales, support, and deployment
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills, including working under tight deadlines and with quickly changing priorities.
  • Ability to adhere to predefined processes
  • Ability to work independently, relying on clinical and technical judgment.
  • Up to 80% travel required; weekend travel will be required.
  • Ability to travel within the US primarily, Canada, and abroad on occasion
  • Ability to work well in various fast-paced environments (office, hospital, and clinical).
