Job Summary:
The Vice President, Growth Initiatives, is a strategic leader responsible for driving scalable business expansion across new and existing markets within the environmental compliance industry. This executive role focuses on identifying, developing, and executing high-impact initiatives that align with Alliance's (ATG) long-term growth strategy, including M&A, strategic partnerships, market development, and service innovation. The VP collaborates closely with executive leadership, sales, marketing, regulatory affairs, and operations to evaluate opportunities and implement go-to-market strategies that respond to evolving regulatory landscapes, customer needs, and sustainability trends. The VP, Growth Initiatives combines deep industry insight, business acumen, and leadership experience to transform strategic ideas into actionable, revenue-generating outcomes.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Team up with commercial team to grow whitespace in geographies
- Build and lead operational teams to deliver growth in those areas where needed
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess and prioritize underpenetrated, California-based client opportunities by mapping Alliance's strengths against market needs; identify resource gaps and refine Alliance's multiservice value proposition to position the company as a leading environmental solutions provider across key sectors, including oil and gas.
- Build, lead and mentor a team of environmental professionals fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Provide training and development opportunities to ensure team members are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills, particularly around cross-training of teams to enable multiple service offerings to be performed ("One Alliance").
- Develop relationships and open doors for conversations on Alliance services to support clients.
- Work with existing commercial resources for California and with Commercial leadership to ensure proper coverage and pursuit of opportunities.
- Represent ATG at relevant industry conferences, trade shows, and other events to promote our services and stay informed about market trends.
- Network with industry professionals to enhance the company's visibility and market presence.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market intelligence to support strategic decision-making for the geography.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong operational management skills, with experience overseeing large teams and complex projects.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience with emissions monitoring, source testing, and analytical services.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry, with a focus on environmental services. Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
